Connect N64 with AV to HDMI converter?

ba
- in Nintendo
6

I ordered this device and maybe someone has the same.

My problem is that when I use the small box with the N64 and the QLED Samsung TV

there's no signal at first.

I check again whether all cables are connected correctly and turn on the Nintendo 64.

Then you can hear the sound but no picture?

then I changed all the cables again and tried again… Unfortunately without success

I hope someone can help me…

Does the part have an NTSC / PAL switch? Maybe the cable is gone? Or the connections of the console or the converter? Or is the converter defective or garbage?

Is the yellow connector on the N64 connected to the yellow connector on the converter?

As far as I know, these converters must be operated externally with USB. On the side there should be a switch where you can set whether HDMI to AV or AV to HDMI should be converted. Some have a switch where you can set whether the converter should work via PAL or NTSC. You will likely need to use PAL.

I have uploaded another picture. The only thing it says is 720p and 1080p…

Maybe the little box is just garbage or a defect. The cables work 100% because I have both picture and sound with the Gamecube

OK. Maybe (that used to be the case with me, but with a Fire TV Stick) your TV can't handle native 720p. So set the switch to 1080p.

You have to supply the adapter with power, for this you need a mini-USB to USB cable (which should actually be included). For example, the cable must go into a USB port on your TV.

Okay, I tried that too, unfortunately nothing.
