There's not a switch in the warehouse and waiting for your order. No, there are hundreds, if not thousands.
How do you show the customer when he will receive his goods? This is where target range calculation comes into play. Ultimately, you calculate how long the goods will last to meet the expected customer demand. Then it will be reordered and delivered accordingly.
The backend at Otto now takes all the available data and uses it to calculate an estimate of when the customer will definitely have the goods. It is calculated pessimistically, because every customer who comes in contact with the support costs a lot of money.
Now the estimate is June. Nevertheless Otto does not stop sending goods. And if goods are in stock, then they will be shipped (if the workers are available).
So it can happen that you get the goods beforehand. But it can also be good that others get the rest of the goods and you have to wait until new goods are in the warehouse.
Due to the current situation, this must be written there. That's why the customer got it early. The date shows by when it must be there at the latest. For example with me new XBOX one X and there was 3 weeks waiting time because sold out, some honorable truck driver who had Bort arrived at Amazon and they sent it to me 1 week later she was there
