Used or new is always a thing, if you want to save money it's worth the used ones more but then you have no guarantee. I personally would either use them or get them new.
I think you can only use the lite variant in handheld mode. The right switch is best.
The name Switch Lite is actually fraudulent, since you can't "switch" anything with the part anyway.
So buy a sensible switch.
