I'm thinking about buying a console from Sony for the first time and so I have some questions because I've only ever bought the Nintendo consoles and games.
1.Console setup: Should I only enter my real name and the correct address when setting up or would otherwise the connection to the Internet deteriorate?
2.Image Image: What image settings should I use for a HD PC monitor?
3.External hard drive: Which company should it be and would it be better to take one that gets its power via a power outlet or rather an external hard drive that is powered only via the USB port?
3.5. Connecting the external hard drive: Should you always connect it first before you turn on the console or is it all the same?
4. Hard disk in the console: Does not matter the size if you save all games only on an external hard drive or should it always be a Terabyte for the installations and the other processes?
5.Games buy: Would it be better to buy all games only in the PSN Store or rather in a real shop?
5.1.Playing without internet connection: Do you need a permanent internet connection or can you play offline?
5.2.Games of the PS3: Can I buy and play these games in the PS4 Store?
5.5. The drive: How fast would it break if you use it every day for several hours (about 6 to 8) to play a few games?
6.Cleaning the Console: How to remove the metal plate over the fan and other components if they were not installed with a regular screw or torx screw but with a piece of black plastic?
6.5.Torx screws: Which screwdriver (zieher) size would you need and could somehow use a normal screwdriver?
7. The PS4 Ultra Slim: Do you think this console will have exactly the same performance as the regular PS4 Slim?
Wait until the PS5 comes out. That will come in a year in the market.
But I do not have that much money and so I have to wait until the PS5 Slim appears.
Since she comes out only in a year, you can save it then. If you want. Think that will cost between 400-600 euro.
My "pain threshold" would be only 350 to 400 euro.
Is everything self-explanatory if you have connected the PS4 the first time.
The only thing you should pay attention to is with external hard drive, same with the 1TB you can only play with a few games since bigger games (Z.b black ops4 130 + GB) take away too much memory. I would definitely advise against picking up the first console, either the Slim or Pro [Ultra Slim does not exist]
The real name Etc you can enter everything safely, just not in Gamertag.
Some say that an external hard drive would work better if you connect it before you turn on the console. And some players have probably had some problems because they have taken an external hard drive which receives power only via the USB port.
An Ultra Slim but should be planned according to a few rumors and appear in 2019. I think it could be similar to the PS3 Super Slim.
What is a gamertag?
Gamertag is the name you use in games.
I do not know jz, ne feasted funkinoert later just as well z.b this one: https://www.amazon.de/...00TKFEE5S/ (is soon black friday)
Okey, I did not know, I have the ps3 super slim and slim. Find the slim much better.
Gamertag means how people see you online.
Thanks for the link, but judging by reviews on Amazon, Seagate's external hard drive does not seem to be a good idea.
Many people have broken their external hard drive by this company very quickly or their console has even crashed a few times.
Bhu… I already had a PS2, a PS3, a PS4 and an XBox360 … I still like to play and gamble on these consoles, but I did not ask such questions when buying or using the consoles
I'll try to go through your questions:
You specify a fanciful username that you can use to see you online. And of course you deposit your real name and address so you can shop through the PSN store. - You order with Amazon also not goods with an account in which a fake address is deposited.
I use an ordinary Full HD TV for my consoles. Is enough, if the HDMI connections are not equal to 10 - 15 years old.
Why use an external hard drive? - Most consoles have 1TB of memory, which actually works well. Savegames do not eat so much space… And games can be uninstalled, should the memory ever run short.
The internal hard disk space of the PS4 is always the same… Game application data can be deleted when not in use.
Whether you are buying the games on disc or online in the PSN store is a matter of taste. It's not that different at Nintendo.
There are games that only run if they have an internet connection. Many games can also be played offline. But is on the packaging of the game.
There are occasional remakes of PS3 games, which have now appeared for the PS4. Original PS3 games are not compatible with the PS4.
I have never played a drive broken even though the console was occasionally in continuous use.
Sony did not actually build the console to screw it on to clean it inside. I have never screwed on a console and none of them have been stifled by the dust so far.
Who buys an executioner to a new console equal to a screwdriver?
Ultra slim? I know only Slim and Pro… Where the Pro makes a solid impression, as the Slim.
What exactly do you want to buy a PS4 for? - To screw around? To clean? Attach to the hardware?
At the time, I bought the console carelessly, connected it to the TV and gambled on it. I buy games in the PSN store and when a nice disc edition pops up, I buy the disc. The device runs, and runs, and runs… Without me having to unscrew it to rid it of the finest dust with a high pressure cleaner. Even 1 TB memory has been wonderful for years… And when the memory is full, a game is uninstalled. Does not take too much time.
The device is a commodity… And if it blesses the time after a few years, you'll probably go to a successor console anyway.
Then try ne external hdd with a 100% good rating: DD
On the internet I've already read a few comments that their drive is not working properly and since I'm not so good at repairing something myself I thought it might be better to buy all games only in the store.
A console sucks in dust like a computer and sooner or later it becomes a problem. Some of the components could overheat or bend because of the heat.
So I did not mean that again…
I only read a few pages on Amazon on Seagate reviews, and there were a few users who apparently had problems.
Of course you can spare a drive if you just download the game from the store. But sometimes there are simply super nice collectors editions, which one likes to have as a CD on the shelf.
But I would not say that a drive will bless your time if you play a few games over a disc. - Besides, the device has two years warranty… Or something. And then Sony would certainly be accommodating and would repair the device if the drive would break after such a short time.
Of course, if you unscrew the console… The guarantee usually expires.
Of course, I know that such electronic devices also absorb dust. But I do not have a PC yet and no console open to free them from the dust. And I have only now died the Fat Lady with a YLOD… Whereby this console a few years, even by two people expressed strong was used.
Such devices are really not that hyper-sensitive. I rather have the feeling that the devices are broken by perpetual unscrewing, meticulous cleaning or wrong locations.
Just treat yourself to a new PS4 and just play it carefree. Savegames can be saved via PS Plus in a cloud… And if you really should belong to these unbelievable unlucky birds, where the console should just break like that, with a smelly puff of smoke… You just send them to Sony and they will fix the thing for you or replace. In the meantime, your savegames are safe in the cloud and can be downloaded to a console at any time to log in with your personal account.
You really can't lose a lot… Also the games bought in the store can be downloaded again and again. The games on CD will stay with you either way.
And then look forward to this great console… And at some point, a successor model will appear and you automatically play with the idea of switching sooner or later.
For me, the PS2, PS3 and the XBox360 synonymous not so often in use, because just the PS4 just offers game titles that I like. If then the PS5 should appear… I will use the PS4 as long as to convince me PS5 game title to a new purchase. But until then it will probably take another 2 - 3 years… And I'm convinced that my PS4 will still be running until then
Okay, I just do not have that much money, so I could always buy a new console and collector editions would be too expensive for me. I just wanted to make sure not to do too much wrong and therefore asked the many questions.
Anyway, thank you for your detailed answers!
I know, so expensive purchases must already be well considered. But the console is really tough. The console is also often used for watching movies and manchmel is played for 12 hours at a time. She may be a bit louder with age, but she still plays along. - And if you get yourself a new console, yes you have warranty on the device
You will really enjoy it for a few years = D
I hope that it will be many years.
The reason why I called the PS4 Slim in my question at the top was because I've read a lot of times that the PS4 Pro can be very loud and you can hear a "coil whistling" clearly. This sound is probably synonymous with the PS4 Slim, but it is quieter.
The PS4 Pro cuh-7216b, which will be the latest version of the PS4 Pro, also seems to be very unpopular on YouTube in the comments because of the loud fan.
I do not know now which Pro version is with me, but it seems to me much quieter and faster, than my first ever PS4 of the first generation. If a game is running, which is probably very demanding on the graphics, such as RdR2 can already be heard. But still no comparison to the volume of the first generation. It might occasionally sound like it wants to take off right away. XD - But I like to play with a headset, because of the sound experience, and that's why I can't hear it, if the console should be a little louder.
How much quieter the Slim is, however, I can't judge.
The slightly faster loading times of the Pro, however, I find very comfortable.
I could not take a headset, because it would distract me from the pressure created by wearing it on the sides of my head and make my ears very warm. At least when I tried hearing protection for a couple of minutes, which you wear just like a headset.
If I had to buy a headset before, then most of me would probably be too expensive. Unfortunately, but you always have to take the expensive, because otherwise the sound quality should not be so good.
In any case, I have never bought anything on Amazon, because there are probably a few cheaters on the site and I do not know if I can recognize people as such at all.
Yes, headsets are already getting used to - But I would not compare them directly with hearing protection. For I have until now the experience that a pure hearing protection is sometimes constructed more functional than comfortable.
And also with the headsets I had to test myself a little bit through the different models, until I found one, which is comfortable for me. - but sometimes they can really be expensive = (
But just… It is not mandatory to use a headset with the PS4. Especially if you do not want to chat with other people about PSN chat at the same time.
And most of the time you do not set the sound of the TV so quietly that you can hear a pin drop while playing. XD - So a bit of game sound makes gambling a real experience.
Yes, with online purchases I'm always a bit skeptical about such things. So far, I've always bought game consoles directly from the retailer… So at least I could be sure to buy original packaged new goods. And I always attach great importance to a perfect packaging.
Do not you have the opportunity to watch a PS4 in action with a buddy? Then maybe you could better imagine how the device behaves like that. - Because I would not rely too much now on these people in the network, which reklamieren on the highest level. Because complaining is usually easier than presenting the positive sides of a product.
Unfortunately, I do not know anyone in my circle of friends who has a PS4 at home.
I do not know if I can use a headset at all, because unfortunately I have to wear glasses because I'm shortsighted. If you do not need glasses, that could happen to you sooner or later, because all the screens emit an unsafe blue light. According to the reports, this light damages the eyes for several years without being noticed. Inside the eyes, there's probably something that the blue light can't tolerate and breaks slowly. With an operation, the belief can't be resolved.
So if you have reached a certain point, you would even go blind. But it should probably give a pair of glasses with which you can protect yourself from the blue light. In the glasses of these glasses there's a kind of blue light filter.
I belong "unfortunately" also to the glasses wearer XD - Bin daily for 8 - 10 hours in front of a screen… And I could imagine that my eyes have actually deteriorated. - But in the present time you can't imagine screens away… TV, PC, tablet, mobile phone… Yes, even the advertising in the cities are sometimes displayed on screens.
Glasses and headset is not always a great combination. Depending on the eyewear model, glasses and headset get in the way. Meanwhile, I even have second pair of glasses, which thanks to their delicate, fine glasses frame is really comfortable to wear with a headset. - And since I'm learning by the way with the music instrument, also wearing headphones… Has the purchase of a headphone-compatible glasses for me really worth it.
As a wearer of glasses so it can't hurt in a headset purchase, if you test-wearing the desired headset in a store shortly
Because of a gaming glasses, I have already looked around some time ago. And I thought for a long time, to order glasses from Gunnar. The glasses are supposed to fit well under headsets thanks to their shape. But those things are quite expensive… Especially if you need a vision correction. And because somehow nowhere is so clearly documented that the glasses really good for something… I finally bought none.
I hope that my eyes will not let me down… Avoiding all the screens is impossible today ^^
I also sit in front of a screen for many hours every day, sometimes noticing that my eyes have started to hurt. It feels like a slight inflammation inside the eyes and when I stand in front of a mirror, then I see that some of the veins or veins in the eyes have broken. After a few hours it has become a little less.
That's why I wear now and then two glasses at the same time. Once the normal glasses and then a pair of sunglasses. Unfortunately, I have no sunglasses that is specially set to my visual acuity, but if I do anyway anyway only at home, nobody sees that.
Whether sunglasses can really protect from the blue light I do not know. Unfortunately, I could not find an answer on the internet or just entered the wrong search terms.
Yes, eye pain or holding dry eyes, I also know from the work on the screen. With me it often degenerates into a headache.
Do you prefer to use screens in bright or dark surroundings?
Because when I'm sitting in a dimly lit environment on the screen, I have much faster and more severe problems with my eyes.
Occasional relaxing of the eyes also brings something to me. Just look out the window from time to time… Or give your eyes a few minutes of screen break.
I have not had any sunglasses for years. Now I would have imagined that I would not see much with it XD
If I were you, I would have the situation checked out by an optician. Because there are now PC glasses, which are hardly visible, that they specifically filter the harmful light of the screens. The glasses have, if I understood correctly then, a very slight bluish cast… So that you could easily wear the glasses in everyday life.
Then maybe I would really try to illuminate the room a bit better in the evening. Then with me, that would definitely cause eye problems if I only use a small reading light, no matter how far away I'm from the screen.
Unfortunately, I can't help with the glasses prices… Unfortunately, I only know that the lenses are sometimes extremely expensive. I myself have progressive lenses so that I can see at short range without much effort. Since I had to buy everything in Switzerland… Can the prices compare badly with Euro… = (
But for a well-known optician they will certainly announce the approximate price without obligation. In the end, you can still think about investing in something like that
Okay, I have at least a little question about the store in the Playstation Network where you can buy all games only digitally.
And how exactly do I charge the credit from my account and how do I pay for the games?
Today I've talked with a coworker about it and he said that you would additionally have to choose any kind of payment even though you only want to use the credit for it.
So I use for shopping in the PSN store always a (prepaid) credit card… The shopping works exactly as if you otherwise buy something in an online store.
For some time now, however, it no longer stores the complete credit card details, so I have to rerun the card for every purchase. I could imagine that too much triviality was done, and that's why this is not quite as comfortable as it used to be.
There are also in many department stores extra PSN credit, which you can then activate a code in the PSN store. With this credit you should then just as easily buy things. - Even I have never used such a credit card… But since these PSN credits already have a perceived eternity to buy, I think it's not witchcraft to pay with them.
Paypal also seems to be a popular form of payment in the PS store… But since I do not know it, I can't really say much about it either.
Shopping in the PSN store is structured just like a purchase through any online store. You have to enter the address and means of payment, so that the process can be completed.
Even if you have a Playstation Plus subscription and want to download your monthly free games, you will be asked for a form of payment. I actually have to give my credit card, even though the game is finally free anyway. - Probably your colleague says this, that you always have to specify a payment method.
I do not find that tragic, because the online store otherwise works really well, contains a large supply and sometimes lures with nice bargains. One of my buddies even accidentally bought a PlayStation Vita game in the store even though he did not have a vita. And since he has not downloaded the game, the support has canceled his purchase without a big TamTam and given him the money back.
Much is really self-explanatory and logical
Okay, I already know that from the Nintendo Online Shop, but since you can directly use the credit from the account as a means of payment. With a credit card you would only have the opportunity to "charge" the credit directly with the desired amount.
Paypal as a means of payment should probably not work as well or not at all according to the comments from the users on the side of the PSN support.
Unfortunately, I can't specify a credit card as a means of payment because I have none. Would there be an option in the PSN store with which you can only select the credit from the account as a means of payment? I do not have a PS4 Slim or Pro to answer this question myself maybe.
How the store works, I have just read me a little and apparently you could probably do a few purchases on a mobile phone via a PSN app and at home the games are then automatically downloaded when the console is in sleep / standby mode.
For some people who have apparently been banned for no reason, they still somehow feel guilty about it. A few users "annoy" with stupid comments the computer from the Playstation Network which is responsible for the review of whether someone insulted others or not. And other people were just banned because they picked a too strange player name. On YouTube, I once saw one who had always called himself "jelly-shampoo"…
Anyway, if I just have to take the goodness cards for the PSN store, that's okay too. Could I actually buy the games in the PS4 store that have been released for the PS3 and play with? Supposedly that should be possible, but you have to buy a digital PS4 version of the respective game.
I once read that it should not be so good if the console is in standby mode for several hours or days, because then it should not work properly. The Nintendo Switch console is the same, but then the screen remains permanently black and you can do nothing more to solve the problem.
Yes, sometimes I'm almost a little sorry when people are banned because of their own "stupidity". Because understand what is supposed to be funny at a user name, with which one must someday be ashamed in the ground… I can't with the best will. - But after all, we're all old enough and can even judge very well what belongs to a decent, respectful demeanor in a community XD - And one can only hope that those who have been banned, their behavior maybe even rethink XD
Regarding the PS3 games. The original discs are not known to be compatible with the PS4. But there are remakes of some popular PS3 titles which you can buy on disc or in the PSN store. You do not buy two different versions, but just the PS4-compatible ones. However, if you have bought an online PS3 game at PS3 times… Unfortunately you also have to buy the PS4 version if you have it and you want it for the new console. Unfortunately, you can't convert the old version… And even with the purchase of the old version is not entitled to a free new version.
For some time there's also an additional PS service called "Playstation Now". You have to pay monthly, though… Can access countless games during the subscription period. And if I remember correctly, there are really, very many PS3 titles. - I only tested the subscription for a short time… But since I usually have too little time to gamble, it's not worth it for me. - But certainly a great thing for those who have plenty of time to gamble and do not need half an eternity for a single game XD
What do you mean with standby mode? Although I always turn off my devices completely, but do not take them extra from the electricity. However, I use the sleep mode of the PS4 only when I want to load the controller. But in Buddy always uses this sleep mode… And he's still excited about it because the console launches so much faster.
The Nintendo 3DS but I have never turned off properly and just closed. The only problem I had with the device, however, was a bloated battery.
And with the switch, I had no problems so far… But this turns off anyway after a short time completely, because the many rechargeable battery quite quickly reach their limits. (Do not use the switch on the TV)
I already have an idea for a name but I do not know if numbers are allowed at the beginning of a name and at the end.
PS Now I think is a bit too expensive with 100 €. The PS3 games I would like to have played would have been the old Sonic games. On the side of the PSN support was sometimes that you could take the games as a disc from the PS3. But that should probably be only certain games. You insert a PS3 game and then you should be able to download an update for a digital PS4 version of the same game, but during this update may not be the disc in the console, because otherwise errors may arise. After the update, it should then be possible to use the game as usual. Supposedly, this extra update but cost 15 to 20 euro.
The standby mode is actually almost exactly the same as the sleep mode, only without updates or downloads of games. The PS4 (Pro) has just the sleep mode and I just called it anyway anyway.
I think the Nintendo Switch can almost always stay in standby mode without any problems. However, if it is in TV mode and standby mode for a long period of time, you will not be able to use the console later. At least I have read that somewhere.
Yes, numbers are not a problem in the username. Meanwhile, there are even many PSN names, which were supplemented with numbers, because probably just too many names are registered and assigned. It's probably almost a rarity if you have a username that works without numbers or special embellishments ^^ '
Yes, PSN can really be a bit expensive if you can't use it often and intensively. But you can subscribe to the whole thing, for example, only for a month, in which you have a lot of time to gamble… If the subscription runs out, the scores are still secured… And you can continue gambling as soon as you activate the subscription again.
For the first time I hear about this possibility to download updates for certain old game titles. - And somehow I find it strange that you still have to pay 15 - 20 euro… So what usually corresponds to a full price of a classic game, they have brought for the PS4 to work. I also thought that the new console could not read the file format of these old games. - But who knows, what else is there for whimsy stories on the net haunt - I've already seen someone who has presented how he has "successfully" installed the PS4 software on a PS3. Unfortunately… Then you only saw how the console starts up with the PS4 software… There was no more to see… Because the boot was probably the only thing that worked XD
Well, I rather think that this switch problem is an isolated case… Where the Nintendo support is determined to help the customer easily.
I had already a bloated Nintendo battery… But it does not mean now that all Nintendo battery inflate and if possible burn out. Otherwise, every Nintendo owner would now have to panic that his home might go up in flames because of this battery.
As a rule, these devices are really very robust and reliable. If you are unlucky, you can certainly catch a lazy egg. But something like that can happen even with a vacuum cleaner or a coffee machine XD - But there are fortunately for such cases the guarantee. - And if, after heavy use, after 4, 5 or 6 years, the device slowly blesses the time, that will be the "natural life expectancy" ^^ '
My name would probably contain at least 2 numbers.
With PSN Plus I find it strange that you can only play the "free free games" if you have a current subscription. If it expires, the games are immediately blocked. At least this was explained on YouTube. Achja and PSN Plus costs probably no longer 50 but 60 euro, because Sony would like to use the server from Microsoft.
Would you want PS Now and PSN Plus permanently would have to spend every year once 150/160 euro for… With the Xbox, there are probably such services, but there were probably both taken together to a service and the cost I think synonymous less than the 150/160 Euro.
That the battery can inflate, I have ever seen in my 2 New Nintendo 3DS XL and a battery that I actually wanted to use as a replacement. The replacement battery was already for a while with me in the closet in its original packaging. I still wonder today if such a bloated battery might eventually explode or if it would just leak like an ordinary battery.
In the life expectancy of technology devices, unfortunately, all customers are always cheated. It has never been a coincidence when something breaks automatically after the warranty expires.
Maybe you're lucky that your desired name is still free, if you even use two numbers - otherwise you just have to be creative ^^
yes, that is "unfortunately" so that these PS Plus "free" games are only playable as long as the subscription is active. However, if you have added the games to your library during the PS Plus subscription period, they should be retained there, even if the subscription has expired. When reactivating the subscription, all "free" games should become playable in the library.
I just look at it as a small "extra", if you have to pay for the online service. With the PlayStation, this service was free for a long time while you had to pay for it on the XBox for a long time.
And you probably do not want players to indulge in just one month of PS Plus just to catch the free game. Because some are already game titles that cost more at this time than a PS Plus monthly subscription.
Because the subscription costs are not quite cheap, I pay more attention to special offers. Because you do not have to wait until the subscription has expired to be able to renew it.
And during the BlackFriday hype, I saw that there's 25% on PS Plus. (I do not know now, if this action is carried out in all countries) - But with such offers, I often access and extend my subscription simply by a year or two.
Yes, that unused batteries, which thus can empty completely, especially like to inflate I have already heard and experienced. I happened to my old, unused PSPs. Only the bloated Nintendo battery was actually always in use = /
Unfortunately, I'm not so sure how fast and whether such a battery explodes or "just" catches fire. But apparently there are different types of batteries… Of which the LiPo battery can actually explode… And the LiIon battery, which are usually installed in the consoles, probably just burn off and a jet of flame can arise. - But how quickly something can happen, I can't judge unfortunately. I therefore check regularly, whether in any device, a battery puffs. Stupid thing is that a burning battery does not seem to delete with water… Should be something like a fat fire = (
Yes, I can really imagine that the life expectancy of certain technical devices is being ripped off. And the warranty is really only designed for so long that after its expiration guaranteed something breaks. - But a coworker was already particularly lucky with a coffee machine… The model blessed the time just before the expiration of the guarantee and she received a new coffee machine XD for free
Anyway, I'm not a big fan of the online multiplayer in some games and I prefer the singleplayer mode. One reason would be that once I e.g. In a "shooter game" only a good target and the other reason is my internet connection. The longer I'm online with a game, the worse it gets. Actually, I have no limit on the data volume, but still it just happens that the connection has become too bad. But with a PC, I could still surf the Internet without any problems.
My internet connection is from 1&1 and I have a 50,000 DSL tariff. I do not have a "gamer-ID" mentioned in some forums.
Do you actually know the problem of the Sony PS consoles that some PC monitors or TVs, the connected console is not working properly? I once read that some consoles would be slower than normal or that no picture can be seen on the screen.
Oh, I know that in multiplayer you play the target where you can't even talk about "skills" when you hit them XD
But there are fortunately also co-op games where you try to achieve a goal together and not have to play against each other. For example, Monster Hunter World or Borderlands really offer a great online fun in which one is not forced by other players again and again to respawn
However, why your Internet connection by gambling is slowing down, I can't explain myself. I have a port here which is used for PC, console and TV… And we have never had any connection problems with our online co-op games, even if I play with two consoles online at the same time. - We simply use a LAN cable for all devices, because we hope that the connection is a bit more stable. - But if the connection weakens as much as you do, I might ask the provider. Unfortunately, I've never heard of a "gamer-ID"… I just said to the provider when completing the internet subscriptions that we need the whole thing to gamble XD - But it's also possible that our game skills are so bad are that we did not realize that the connection could be much better XD
I use since the PS2, the Sony consoles… And I had not yet the feeling that the consoles are faster or slower depending on the output device. But I do not always buy a new TV or PC screen.
Although I already had the problem that especially the PS3 and extremely rarely had the PS4 image or sound problems. I would rather attribute that to the fact that I used a very old TV set back then. It was one of the very first Full HD devices… And since the HDMI ports were also old, there were occasional communication problems between the console and the TV. A complete restart of TV and console have often helped. Meanwhile, I use a small Sony Full HD TV and had no such problems anymore. Even my buddy is gambling on a Sony TV… And thus had no image and sound problems.
For PC screens, however, you have to pay attention to the resolution. There seems to be some differences in resolution that the console seems to be trying to compensate for. This conversion then causes the console to lose "performance". - I wanted to buy some time ago, instead of a TV just a PC screen for the PS4 … As the whole but seems so complicated, I have opted for a simple TV.
For me, the Internet connection was ordered through the website of 1&1. So without first talking to an employee again about what the connection should be thought. My dad had done that because he was already a 1&1 customer. I myself have no idea of the various providers and also you needed even before even own Internet connection to be able to choose a provider at all, which makes no sense…
In a Telefonbuxe, however, there was a problem and the "craftsman" of 1&1 had no time, then went back very quickly. It had to come then only a real craftsman from another company to find out that one Telefonbuxe was broken and another was still alright. However, this craftsman has also "unlocked" the connection in the basement, which he actually should not. Later there was an e-mail from 1&1 that another craftsman from 1&1 would come over again to unlock the connection. I could only prevent that with another e-mail from me. No idea if that might be the reason that the connection with time slows down and gets worse.
I myself have only a 60/75 Ghz Full HD PC monitor with a Freesync function, in which I do not know how to turn it off, if it would cause a problem. The guide is on a CD-ROM that can't be read by a computer because the CD is in the drive. There's a gamer mode, but I've never used it before.
That seems to be similarly difficult with you to get a usable Internet connection. Also, years ago I had a fight that the electrician just set up the desired connection, so that ultimately the Internet provider can "deliver" the Internet access in the desired speed.
And it makes a little "sense" that connection and Internet access are disconnected. One company is responsible for the "wiring" and the other for the Internet access. However, if the company clogs something that is responsible for the cabling… If one can choose an even quicker Internet provider, the access remains poor or slow, because the lines can't handle what is supplied by the Internet provider.
If you made so much when setting up the connection… And the individual companies did not even know who did what, it may already be possible that somewhere still the worm is in it and your Internet is therefore suddenly so slow. - I would let it clarify… Since it is a pity to pay for an Internet access, which may not work properly because of a "craftsman botch".
Uh… I'm rather the PC user, which is happy if the connected screen works - What a "Freesync" I do not know… But if the CD with the instructions does not work, I would just google search times, Because usually you can find instructions for use easily in the network.
But at the time, before I replaced my 10-year-old TV, I connected a nearly as old Full HD PC screen from HP to the PS4. It worked fine and I found the picture even better than on my old TV set. But if I'm not mistaken, it would be beneficial if the PC screen has built-in speakers… Otherwise you really need to use a headset to hear the game sound. PC boxes can be, if I'm not mistaken, namely not directly connect to the PS4.
I thought twice about scaling the resolution of a PS4 Pro on a Full HD PC monitor. If this really should be the cause of the jerking or other problems then my PC monitor would not be suitable for me. The next PS5 Slim would probably have the same performance as a PS4 Pro with 4K.
Either way, I would have to buy a 4K TV if a PC monitor does not have the right software for a PS4 Pro or PS5. Only these TVs on Amazon still cost more than a PS4 Pro. But I can only afford a cheap 4K PC monitor. My current PC monitor, however, is only over 1 year old and I have now not much space at home to be able to put several PC monitors in the room. Although there's a cellar in the house, but something could easily be stolen.
The reason for these thoughts was that the whole games will only be smooth on a PS4 Pro or PS5 and on a PS4 Slim the performance would not be sufficient for some games, but which games that would be exactly then unfortunately not.
This freesync is something like HDR, but still something else.
In any case, you could already hear everything on a PS4 if you use a PC monitor. You just need to connect the speaker boxes to the monitor and not to the console because the HDMI cable transfers not only the picture but also the sound to the PC monitor.
The Internet connection has just been set for years, since he was there. I do not know if my provider would be persuaded to change something in the settings.
