Listen to Nintendo Switch / PS3 / PS4 / XBOX sound and PC sound through a headset?

I have 2 screens, one connected to the console and the other connected to the PC.

Following situation:

I would like to play online with my friends on the console, but voice chat on the PC (on Discord).

How do I get the sound from my console and the sound from my PC to a headset?

Connecting the console to a speakerphone is not a solution, otherwise my friends would hear the console sound through my microphone, and that can be annoying in the long run.

Is there possibly an Auxkabel or something that has two "males" and 1 "females"?

Possibly. Helpful: one of the screens would have an AUX output

Yes, there are such Y-cables.

A better solution, however, is to connect the audio output of the console or the monitor with an audio cable to the audio input of the PC. You can then forward this signal to the headset of the headset. You can do this, for example Use the VLC media player, simply select the audio input as the input signal and play it over the headset.

Otherwise, you could also use a mixer. There you then connect the PC and the console as audio input signals and the headset of the headset to the output.

OK, with the VLC Media Player would be perfect, I've downloaded the now, but I do not know where I can adjust now because of the in and out… Can I possibly describe that yet?

Zy

,
Start VLC Media Player.
Media → Open the recorder

Then under "Audio Device Name" select the audio input of the PC and click on "Playback" below.
Optional: Switch video device name to "None", otherwise you will usually get an irgentein image.

Now the VLC Media Player forwards the audio signal to the standard output. If a headphone / headset is connected this should be the standard output.

Otherwise, you can under Audio → Audio device synonymous selectively select what the sound should be played.

OK, that worked, but there's a strong humming sound, how can I fix it?

Zy

,
Control Panel → Sound → Recording
and then in the settings of the audio input you can e.g. With "level" adjust the volume so that it no longer noises.

Often, it also helps to lower the volume of the console a bit, until the noise is quiet enough that you can't hear / hear it.

Sometimes you have but synonymous ferrite cores attached to the cable, but I had so far only with cheap audio cables. Better ferrite cores also have better cables already more often.

Av

Now it's almost perfect, thanks… It's just a little bit delayed, but you will not be able to change that, will you?

Zy

With other programs, there could be less time delay.

The program which I use area wise but belongs to a paid program package.

You could also test instead of the VLC Media Player in the settings of the audio input under "Listening" the check mark "Use this device as a playback source" to set. But then you would have to switch it off and on each time via the settings.

Otherwise, just hold the solution with the mixer.
