Is the Nintendo switch somewhat waterproof?

I put my switch on my desk yesterday, where it lay overnight. Then I wanted to play with her and suddenly she didn't answer. Then I noticed that my desk was a bit wet where the switch was all the time. Is that the problem or something else?

No the switch is not waterproof. It is partly water-repellent, but this is not a protection but only the property of the respective materials.
