Connect Minecraft to friends via mobile phone using the switch?

I would like to know whether you can connect minecraft to a cell phone via the switch (without this Nintendo membership) in the same way as you can connect two cell phones at Minecraft. So without creating a server only via Wi-Fi and if so how exactly. I tried it, but it just didn't work. Neither the switch nor the cell phone displayed a different world than when I was in the same world with each other. Do you have any idea how that could work, or is it basically not possible?

I connected the switch and my cell phone to the same Wi-Fi and then I went into a world and waited to see if it was shown to me on the other device.
