I bought yesterday for a used Nintendo Switch and because the description despite grammatical errors made unmistakably clear what is included and the Ebayer also had in very good rating profile, I have no thoughts. Then, however, after the purchase and payment via PayPal, a friend made me aware that the description is grammatically wrong and the suspicion hardens the seller would have advertised only the Switch Tablet, but not the other accessories such as docking station. In addition, no photo of the other accessories but only the tablet was seen. But from the following description I assumed 100% that the mentioned accessories are included but not games:
"It offers a fully functional console with accessories.
No scratches in the display or pixel errors.
The console comes with two new Joycon controllers.
Docking station with charger and HDMI cable and
Without games.
This is a private sale, with no guarantee and no withdrawal. "
The "without" clearly refers to the games from the sentence position. Yesterday evening after the auction, I wrote to the seller again that he sent before he reassured again that it is not a mistake on his part, because I do not feel like stress with him and Ebay and on the return procedure. I mean according to grammatical rules I'm in the right and he has written the description ambiguous and error-prone. So far there has been no answer.
Question: If it comes down to the fact that I get the goods and just not the accessories are there, I would have turned to Ebay ne chance in the above description? Or am I the only one who sees it so that the accessories should be there according to the description just not the games?
Edit: The PReis to which I bought them (255 euro) corresponds exactly to the price tendency for a used console with all accessories. Therefore, it was assumed that it is so.
What about "The console comes with two new Joycon controllers." Unintelligible?
And "without games." Is also clear.
Docking station with charger and HDMI cable
The 3 things are separated in the description with a point, so they are critical for the questioner.
For me it is clear that it is only "without games", the rest, which was enumerated, is there.
Exactly. Grammatically, "without" refers to games. Even if the previous line with "Without games" belongs in a sentence context, the juxtaposition of "with" + "and" + "and" + "without" means that the "without" is just a denial of the last point and not the previous or do I see that wrong?
I also see that the 3 parts in question are included in the offer.
In addition, the author is responsible for inaccuracies. So you should get what you expect.
The text contains errors, but sounds clearly:
The console comes with two new Joycon controllers. Docking station with charger and HDMI cable
That means: docking station, charger and HDMI cable is included. You have now asked the seller and I strongly suspect that he will answer you, that these things are part of it. So wait and see what he answers.
If he then writes that things are not there, try first, if you can agree. Only if that does not work, the time would have come to open a case.
