I have now learned from some sources that Minecraft Java Edition can be used to request a free code for Minecraft Windows 10 Edition.
I now want to play with a friend who plays Minecraft on the Nintendo Switch.
My problem: I can't find any information on how to request this code.
My Mojang account says that I have owned the game since 2015 and can download it again, but this only applies to the full Java edition.
How can I request the code to download the game for free from the Windows 10 Store?
