I would like to get a capture card (elegato hd60) and I have a dual pc setup. I would not only like to transmit my gaming pc video signal. But also my nintendo switch. Since the named capture card only has hdmi and I play with my monitor via displayport, I wanted to ask if the signal would get worse or if you connect the capture card to the hdmi connection of my graphics card (gaming pc) and there was none at all problem is. The hdmi connection of my graphics card is not used. Unfortunately, I don't know my way around very much, thanks a lot
It's best to just plug it into the graphics card and you're done.
Because you get no signal from the monitor itself:-).
Many. Well, that means I connect my gaming pc normally to my displsyport monitor and my hdmi connection of the graphics card goes into the capture card
Exactly 👍.
Unfortunately, I can't tell you how it works with the switch, since the switch actually only has one HDMI connection. And you probably have to work with a splinter or something.
Thank you again Ne that fits already I can transfer the switch to my gaming pc and do it that way. Only my gaming pc draws a lot of power when playing and recording. That is why I use the second pc gaming of my gaming pc when I want to record on the gaming pc
Or does it have such a large input delay. Of course I can also get myself a splinter, they are not that expensive
The splitters are not really recommended, especially if they have 2 standards, such as Hdmi on display port.
Since you lose image performance.
Or you have delays
Ok thanks again
