Hey, I recently bought the PS5 and I want to have a 4k monitor to play on great graphics. I looked at many and ended up getting the ASUS VG289Q. So I connected it to the PS5 (also to my PC because it has 2x hdmi and 1x display port) but no 4k or only 2160p was displayed. On my PC, Displayport 3840x2160 showed 4k. Since the PS5 only supports one hdmi connection, my question is whether I need an adapter now and whether my monitor may only support 4k via DP (cable was also said by the way, but as far as I noticed it was only one display port to hdmi and not anderstrum).
You need an HDMI 2.1 cable.
The PS5 has an HDMi 2.1 cable that is also connected. This is included with the PS5.
Did you set ps5 output to 4k?
what have in the pc for ne gpu?
So with the PS5 there's a setting or a point for information about video output, where it is written that the resolution is 3840 x 2160 -60Hz. But I can edit the resolution with video output → resolution (which is now on automatic) and the maximum is simply 2160p. Hope that helps.
Have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB on the PC.
Have not yet experienced that it is due to the cable - which had to do with resolution. Last had my 3060ti on a 4k TV run with a kackhdmikabel.
possibly. Times hdr out and then look. Must iwas in the ps5 settings i think
Don't think it's the cable either, but maybe the monitor as it only supports 4K via DP. I wasn't sure about that.
Possibly. Take a look at the operating instructions. I find it strange
