Connect mobile phone to PlayStation to watch TV anime / series?

I watch a lot of anime either on my cell phone or connect my cell phone to the (internet-enabled) TV via the Internet. However, the TV is also used by my parents, which is why I can't always turn it on, so the question:

I have a non-internet-compatible TV with a PS4 in my room. Can I connect my cell phone to the PS4 to watch anime there?

(No Netflix, etc.)

If the TV doesn't have the necessary connections, no.

At Playstations there's always Youtube there you can watch it.

If you load the Chrunchyroll and the Wakanim app on the Playstation, you can do it without a cell phone.

You can also watch Chrunchyroll for free. Wakanim only with a premium subscription.

I find it much more pleasant

Are the anime downloaded on your phone and saved in files? If so, the PS4 will make it difficult, especially with an iPhone. You could plug in your mobile phone via USB and open the media player on the PS4. If the cell phone is not recognized here, you have no way of viewing the PS4 anime. Then you would have to buy an adapter for your cell phone. With an iPhone e.g. A Lightning to HDMI adapter or with an Android a USB C / Mini / Micro USB to HDMI if there's such a thing.

If you don't want that, but you can do without your mobile phone, then drag the videos to a USB stick (it may be that you have to create a folder with a specific name on the stick so that the PS4 can read it in the media player - just briefly to Google).

Another option would be to load the videos into a cloud and call them up via the PS4 browser and try to watch the videos above them.

If you watch via YouTube, you only have to download the YouTube app on the PS4 under TV. If your mobile phone and your PS4 are on the same internet, you can press the TV symbol at the top in the YouTube app on your mobile phone and select the PS4. You can then watch videos on the PS4 on your TV.
