Who uses the astro a50 on both consoles? I currently have the Ps4 and the X series.
I bought the astro for the X series and would like to use the HS on both consoles, which, according to the manufacturer, is possible with a second station for the Playstation. Now my question: the Series X basestation is continuously powered and when I switch on the HS it connects to the station immediately. Do I have to unplug it from the box so that it doesn't cause problems? Or how does the HS differentiate which console I want to play on?

The Astro charging station via USB to the PS4 and then the optical cable to the Xbox Series X.

The only problem… The Xbox Series X has no optical input, i.e. You need an adapter. Preferably of course the https://www.astrogaming.com/de-de/products/accessories/cable-adapters/hdmi-adapter-for-playstation-5.html but you can of course also take a cheaper one, it stays the same.

According to theory, if you switch to "PC" (USB) you can hear the PS4 and if you switch to Xbox / PS4 (Optical) you can hear the Xbox Series X. Maybe even both at the same time depending on how the Astro loading dock works.

I do the same with PC and PS4 with my Soundblaster X G6. So USB in the PC and optical in the PS4 and that works great, I hear both at the same time, because the Astro charging dock has a switch, I'm not quite sure whether you can hear both.

A quick note in the margin.

The Astro A50 can also be used on the Xbox Series X without an adapter. No HDMI adapter is required because it also works via USB

Ok my mistake. I assumed that Xbox hardly supports USB devices, as it usually does, because it wasn't possible for me on my One at the time.

The One is not the Series, though.

And Microsoft is also aware that there are definitely people who want to use their headphones via USB
