No. Wait first.

You can equip the ps5 with an m.2 nvme ssd, but not every M.2 NVMe SSD is actually supported by the PS5. The new PCI Express 4.0 interface is required for smooth compatibility. Sony will equip supported SSDs with a certificate so that customers can quickly get the necessary overview.

According to Sony, these certificates will not be issued until "some time" after the launch of the PS5. Especially since 6TB of such an ssd can cost several thousand euro.

You just have to wait which models are validated by Sony. I imagine this could be quite expensive fun then. It's just the question of what that is worth to you.

The hard drive actually offers enough space for enough games. A normal external one also does it if you want to move games that you are not currently using.

A "normal" M.2 NVME SSD from Samsung, for example, costs around 200 euro at just 1TB
