I bought an external hard drive for my Ps4 to store my games there. The hard drive is now almost 2 years old. When I turned on my Ps4 this morning I received a message in the booth saying that I did not properly split my extended memory. However, I had previously turned off the Ps4 as usual. Often I have problems with the extended memory lately. Why is that and what can I do about it?
This may be due to the hard drive (maybe something is broken) or on your PS4 - they like to spin.
If it does not get any better I would say you can get a new hard drive or see if everything is Ok with your USB ports on the console
