I got the new CoD on my PC and created a new Activision account. Then I found out that the accounts are cross-platform too. Do I have to buy CoD Cold War again for my PS account or can I also play it with the Activision account that I created on the PlayStation?

What does not work is that several players are playing on the account at the same time
I don't know of any game that you only have to buy once and then play on all available platforms.
You have to buy it for the Playstation as well.

If you only have the game on your PC, you have to buy it for the Playstation if you want to play there. Crossplay just means that the platforms can play together and progress is synchronized on all versions. Sony wouldn't make a profit if they just gave you the game just because you already have it on another platform.
So understand if I get the game with account x, can I also play it with account y? Just to understand again.

You have an Activision account with the game on it, which means you can ONLY play with the account on your console OR on your PC.
