Elgato HD60s Plus also only makes sense with a PC?

Since I want to start streaming, I first tried to get the signal from my PS4 to my MacBook so that I can stream with the Mac. Unfortunately, it turned out that my Mac has too little power for this.

Now I've ordered a very good gaming PC for 1,800 euro that easily grabs the stream. But I will also be playing Warzone on the PC at the same time.

Now my question is, does the Elgato bring me anything else? Because, to the best of my knowledge, the Elgato is used to transfer the signal to another medium.

But what else can you do with the ELGATO on a PC? Has any streamer asked the same question here?

Strictly speaking, no. If you have a 2nd PC that you want to use for encoding, a so-called streaming PC, then again or if you want to get a signal from your console to the PC.

Because, to the best of my knowledge, the Elgato is used to transfer the signal to another medium.

So else does it have 0 advantages? A buddy said that you can only use it with a PC

It is possible to do it that way, but according to my research it makes no difference, especially not for the better.
As Comp4ny said, a capture card is only used to transfer a signal from one device to another, e.g. From one PC to another or from the console to the PC.

Best to sell when you definitely no longer need the Elgato.
Is definitely worth a notable sum.
