I wanted to sell my 27 inch Asus monitor and get a 32 inch screen. Now I noticed in the search that TVs in the order of magnitude much cheaper.
What is worthwhile for use with PS4 rather?
Does the reaction time etc. Matter a lot? (I do not play shooters where you have to be fast or something like that)
And why are monitors generally more expensive? TVs are guaranteed to have an internal speaker, which is not always the case with monitors. And in addition Smart function etc.
Probably the monitor is expensive because it has a higher refresh rate. But a PS4 can only create unstable 60FPS, so anything over a 60hz screen would be unnecessary.
Hard to say. 32 inches are very small for today's TV, and there are no top devices. On the other hand, high quality monitors are certainly quite expensive in size. As far as reaction time and input lag are concerned, you do not have to worry about consoles, the whole thing is completely overrated.
For a TV in 42 or 49 inches you have no place? Of course they are much more impressive when playing and offer better picture quality.
I would always tend to a monitor because the reaction time is not necessarily so meaningful but the input lag already and that is significantly lower for monitors π
Input lag means that the button or the action you want to perform has to be processed by the screen for a certain amount of time and it annoys me when I press a button and it is processed later even if it is not the world and you can get used to it is it when you switch from monitor to TV a noticeable and annoying difference for me ππ
Space already, but the distance is too small. I would say approximately max 1.50m Therefore, I think that a jump from 27 to 32 would be enough. But thanks for the infoππ
Can one somehow deduce the input lag? That I can read by any values from the Techn data of the TV to what extent this effect would arrive?
There are databases, of people who have measured that. But normally it is so low that it is irrelevant.
Okay, thanks for the info ππ
Here is one (also for monitors): https://www.rtings.com/tv/tests/inputs/input-lag
Everything under 20ms is absolutely great. Play even with 34ms.
