GTA 5 problem?

I recently bought GTA 5 on the ps4 but can't shoot when I have a gun in hand but hitting works does someone know why in all other games everything works fine except for GTA only there I can't shoot the settings there everything is correct and the controller is not broken because I bought it 2 days ago please help

Does your gun have ammo?

Playstation controller, or any other brand? If the settings are correct and your controller is new and from Playstation, then the error is usually in front of the xD screen
