Did I get the wrong Monster Hunter?

Me and me a friend want to play zsm Monster Hunter world. So I got Monster Hunter world on eBay classifieds and the disc is all fine, but the ps4 hub says Monster Hunter world iceborn but I didn't want the expansion yet, I want to play it from the start.

Extension is just an extension of the story. No problem bro

That should only be the update that Iceborn is preparing.

You still have to buy the extension itself.

At least it is displayed to me, even though I only have the main game.

Monster Hunter World is the base game, you can buy Iceborne as an option, but only use it when the main game is through.
