What is necessary so that blender imports are correctly exposed in Unreal4?

I'm still a beginner with both programs and have transferred my first objects. My problem is that some of them interact well with the lights in Unreal, but some look like Playstation 2 graphics. A tunnel element in particular does not react at all to points or spotlights unless they intersect with the mesh itself

Possibly a shader setting (selfillum etc.), or perhaps an exclusion for light sources in the respective object settings
