Does a disk use the same amount of memory as a downloaded game?

I have decided to buy a PS4. But now I'm faced with the question of whether I should download my games or buy as a disk. I wonder if a downloaded game uses as much disk space as a game on a disk. In addition, I would like to know what the better decision would be in general.

I would be very happy to receive a helpful answer.

Ka

Of course, a download consumes more memory than a disc, because the entire game will be loaded onto the hard drive. The load times of downloaded games are a bit faster, which does not really matter. Basically I would prefer a disc, but sometimes downloads in PSN are cheaper

no

When downloading the game is saved to the hard drive. For a CD, at most settings and cache files are stored in the system, but these are negligible.

So no, a download consumes storage space, a CD is not.

If you have enough space on your hard drive, downloading is still the better option, because it gives you updates. Of course this is not possible with a CD. The files on it are fixed. In addition, online purchases are often cheaper because of the many offers.
