Since it is now my hobby to record videos, I have also created a YouTube channel. Since I'm currently making facts videos and the audio quality for this format should be very good, and in my recordings there's always noise and my voice sounds quite bad despite pop protection, I wanted to ask whether I could record the soundtrack from a Ps4 on the PC can edit with Audacity. I thank you in advance for your answers! If you need an audio sample, my name is Nostalgic and I have currently made 20 videos. In-game sound is quite acceptable in games, but my recording sound (I'm recording the soundtrack separately) is terrible.
If you get the audio file from the Ps4 to the PC, that's certainly not a problem.
The noise itself is not prevented by the pop protection. The pop protection is there to dampen hard sounds such as K, P, etc.
The noise most likely comes from your microphone, since almost every microphone has its own background noise. If you level the microphone too high, the noise will also become louder.
I don't know what audio setup you are using, so I can't give you specific advice for improvement, but in and of itself, if you turn the microphone down and speak louder, there should be less to almost no noise,
If it comes to your voice that it sounds bad, I can calm you down. Because everyone feels that way. The own voice sounds bad or unpleasant for many people. You will get used to it after some time and then it won't bother you anymore.
Thank you very much Lukas!
