Games that take a beating on the PS5?

I finally got a PS5 last week. Unfortunately, this is affected by the notorious coil whine. Which in itself wouldn't be too bad, after all, you hardly hear it during normal gaming and is also not dangerous for the PS5.

However, I have only played PS4 games on it that had a maximum of one PS5 update. So before the bigger PS5 titles that I'm looking forward to appear, I would like to test something that exhausts the hardware a bit more to see beforehand whether the coil whine doesn't even get worse with more complex games.

So are there any games that demand a bit more of the PS5? I tend to go to Demon's Souls, for example, which is unfortunately still relatively expensive. Or Godfall, which is no longer too expensive, but shouldn't be that good in and of itself.

Cyberpunk, but then it may burn

Po

Yes, I would also say cyberpunk.

Sk

I played both Demon's Souls and the Cyberpunk mentioned here several times on the PS5. I never had the feeling that the console was challenged in any way with either of them. She was never heard on either track. So I don't think you will notice any difference.

su

Well, I've already played Cyberpunk on Series X and it didn't seem to really break a sweat from it. But it doesn't have to mean anything else, it's a completely different system.

su

That's exactly what I wanted to find out. Also because the coil whine can't be heard when I'm simply in the menu. It just happens in games.

I would suggest Destiny 2, there's at least a lot to do in terms of graphics / CPU

How do you please? The next gen update is yet to come.

Hi first,

I would not say that this is not dangerous, because electronic components in the power supply vibrate when they whine, if the components are in the mood, they could burst, stop working or something else. Only all Playstation 5 consoles are affected.

Like every "next-gen" game, the Playstation 5 is already pushing its limits because the hardware is not the strongest.

Watch Dogs Legion might be a candidate that runs on the Playstation 5 at the maximum, especially with FK-Raytracing On.

The Xbox Series X is also a third more powerful than the Playstation 5

Sk

In the case of cyberpunk, I'm talking about the downward-compatible PS4 version. I only picked it up because the title was mentioned here several times.

Please contact me. I think it's cute that you have adapted my concept of false information, but you are the only one who regularly makes claims without being able to substantiate them. ๐Ÿ˜„

processor

PS5: 3.5ghz per core. / XSX: 3.8ghz per core.

That is 8% more.

With the GPU it is a whole 14% with 12 vs 10.5 TFlops. How you get "a third" more power remains your secret again, because obviously that's not even the case when you look at all the other figures.

Strangely enough, extensive tests show that the PS5 very often has the edge. And that with a third less power? Amazing!

But we've done these arithmetic games before, you all know them. ๐Ÿ˜„ Still, I find it remarkable how you still go through with it so consistently to promote your beloved Xbox.

Give an example ๐Ÿ˜‰.

Great. ๐Ÿ˜„

๐Ÿ˜‰10.5 teraflops are only achieved in boost mode. During the boost mode, the GPU clocks up, but the CPU clocks down to compensate for the whole thing, so there's no difference in performance.

9 teraflops is the normal standard on the Playstation 5.

9 รท 12 = 0.75

1.00 - 0.75 = 0.25 = 25%

Added to this is the VRS feature in the Xbox Series X, which can provide the Xbox Series X with up to 30% more performance.

Very often? Give me a few examples.

And with double the SSD bandwidth, the Xbox Seroes X loads just as quickly, if not even faster (see The Witcher 3 with aogut as no loading times on the Xbox Series X (without optimization))

Use outdated links? Are you serious?

But we've done these arithmetic games before, you all know them. ๐Ÿ˜„ Still, I find it remarkable how you still go through with it so consistently to promote your beloved Xbox.

Because it's better.

This year Microsoft has more to offer than Sony.

Sony is a pure follower company that wants to get the money out of the pockets of small children as quickly and as efficiently as possible. Charge 80 euro for a game ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚, on the Xbox platform, you can get games for just 10 euro a month for virtually free.

bo

Yes, but why should a last gen game challenge the current gen?

Wouldn't that be rather embarrassing?

Sk

Yes, I agree. Until recently, the game was a catastrophe on the old generation. Many probably have no comparison and assumed that it must be similar on the new consoles.

In terms of performance, the game ran perfectly on the PS5.
