Since last night my ps3 hangs on startup when I have HEN on it and in the firmware tools I have set it to 'Rebug theme' and since it wants to start it hangs on what can I do? I can't format the hard disk not into the Playstation. Maybe the firmware is broken?
You can connect the hard drive to the PC and format it there. Then you can put the hard drive back into the PS3 and reinstall HEN
Unfortunately I no longer have a PC, but can I use my cell phone and USB charging cable to bring the ps3 to 4.86 (normal)? If so, how would that work?
Which cell phone do you have? If you have an OTG adapter, you can save the normal 4.86 to a USB stick and boot the PS3 into recovery mode. Then you should be able to set up the hard drive with the operating system again.

Could you please check if your PS3 is still booting into recovery mode? Simply press the on button until it beeps 3 times.
