M3i zero GMP-Z003 hangs?

I've been digging out my old Nintendo DS Lite for a long time, with an M3i zero GMP-Z003 card. Now I know why I haven't used it for a long time, it always hangs when starting and hangs on the loading screen.

While googling, I have not been able to get such helpful answers to this problem, maybe someone can help me?

Either an outdated firmware version or the memory card is too full. M3 / g6 memory cards no longer offer updates, so an r4 card would be a good alternative
