I paid friends and family 500 euro with PayPal. It turned out that the ad was not serious… To me it looked very serious because collection was also possible. The next day I found out from my mother that a guy from eBay called and asked for 550 euro. I have the most ambitious of the chat, know his phone number (also WhatsApp so I assume it would be your real phone number) and the email from PayPal. The only thing I don't have is the ad number and the ad now says "conveyed and no longer sold". I did a conflict resolution with PayPal but they said nothing is closed. Now I still want to call Paypal again and describe everything. When I sent the money there was also eBay as a description… If someone should say yes, this is not from eBay. I also took a picture of the transaction… Any tips? What else can I do?
Thanks in advance
ps: Warning! I sent money for a ps5 so don't buy a ps5 on ebay
PayPal Friends & Family:
You deliberately left out the buyer protection
You cheated on PayPal of the fees.
You have violated the terms and conditions.
If that comes out, you will be banned forever.
You have chosen yourself to give a family member or friend a gift of money
Paypal doesn't care. You paid with friends and family, there's no buyer protection and it says so. If you call PayPal they only block your account because this function is ONLY for friends / family. Not to avoid service fees, etc.
You'll never see your money again, apprenticeship. You can't say more about it and you really can't help any more - classified ads COLLECTION and only collection
First of all:
eBay classified ads is a regional advertising market that sells goods for cash on collection.
With your payment via PayPal Family & Friends you have given us a gift of money and the probability of finding the recipient is almost zero.
Now I still want to call Paypal again and describe everything.
That would be extremely unclever:
If you pay for goods or services via PayPal Family & Friends and PayPal notices that, PayPal rightly sees this as a fee avoidance and can therefore throw you out.

And even if the perpetrator should be tracked down, then you still do not have your money back by a long way, because you can then claim or sue for it under civil law, cost risk with you.
Also keep in mind that, as a buyer, you bear the risk of loss in accordance with Section 447 of the German Civil Code (BGB) if it is a private purchase with a shipment that has not been expressly agreed:

Go to the police
Money is gone
Police don't do anything so don't go there
The same thing happened to me with a 600 euro laptop. After a few days, when the seller didn't contact me after I paid, he wrote "Your money is gone". So I'm to the police. What have you done? Really nothing.
I had placed an ad, but after 1 month I received a letter that the proceedings had been discontinued…
Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about it, I'm afraid, except it is best to never pay again with Paypal for amounts over 20 euro. The fraudsters always use that.
I paid friends and family 500 euro with PayPal.
Is your own fault! You could have given away the money straight away. You'll never see the money again.
so don't buy a ps5 on ebay
Ebay classifieds has nothing to do with Ebay!
But he explicitly told me in the chat that he only accepts PayPal. Family and friends?
Themselves to blame.
Of course he said that! Scammers always say it and you fell for it. Skipped buyer protection and defrauded PayPal of the fees.
Age why your own fault that could happen to you as well? Digga what's going on with you? You are no great help. That can happen to anyone, no matter how if it happens to you, don't you expect help? So why complain about your own fault
No, that can't happen to everyone. You make yourself smart about the payment method and its effects beforehand. Only those who are too lazy will fall for it. That pleases the fraudsters. That's your own fault. It is also widely known that eBay classifieds are there to buy goods and pay cash when you pick them up. You didn't pay attention to that either. So you've done everything wrong that can only be done wrong.
No can't happen to me. Since I'm not that stupid and give gifts to money.
