Will the sound with the sound card automatically connect better directly at the?

I wanted to buy the Beyerdynamic MMX 300 because I was gambling on the Ps4 was recommended to buy a corresponding sound card with it (G6) because the MMX 300 does not come without the full power. My question is now when I connect the G6 I hear dan immediately an improved sound or I have to make several settings so the G6 brings anything.

The question because I do not know so well with sound cards but still would like to get the 100% performance from the MMX.
