I own a Canton Movie 70 Set and run it on a Yamaha RX-V475. Since I, in addition to Playstation and movies with Sourrund sound, now also like to hear music (records as well as Amazon Music), I thought, I could possibly replace the small front satellites with larger floor speakers. For that I already had the Dali Zensor 5 in the eye. Could also be something else. I especially hope for a better sound quality for music reproduction. Since I have read that you should pay attention to the Impendanz in the merger of different speakers, I once researched the net. The Movie 70 speakers are unfortunately always specified with 4 … 8 ohms. Can someone explain that to me and tell me what Impendanz the new speakers should have? For buying tips regarding the speaker, I would also be grateful.
4-8 ohms means that boxes with values between 4 and 8 ohms can be connected, the Dali Zensor 5 have 6 ohms and can be easily connected

Many thanks for the answer! The indication 4 … 8 ohms I have not from my amplifier, but from the Canton Movie 70 speakers. Could it mean that the subwoofer has 4 ohms and the satellite speakers 8 ohms or vice versa? And if so, is the Canton system compatible with the Dali censor speakers? There I only want to replace the front speakers and continue to use the subwoofer, the two sourround- as well as the center speaker.
The Canton all have an impedance of 4-8 ohms, which means they can be operated on amplifiers that have 4.6 and 8 ohm speaker connections, you can safely use the Dali censor on the Yamaha
Alright, now I understand.
