I have a few questions about the Logitech G29 steering wheel because I wanted to get this one.
How is the steering wheel mounted on the table? (Photo?)
How are the pedals mounted if you don't have a wheelstand or playseat?
How are the steering wheel and pedals connected with cables? How many cables and where do they go?
Are the pedals non-slip or does there have to be a wall or similar behind them?
There's a detailed description of how to assemble the steering wheel.
Simply place the pedals on the floor (4.) because the pedals are non-slip.
One cable leads to the socket and 2 (USB) others to the PS4 / 5.
Hope I could help!
The steering wheel is clamped to the cloth by means of two arms. I can't send you a photo to the festival now and unscrew you have 2 round handles on the top of the steering wheel that you can turn
I don't know how the pedals are integrated into such a set
The pedals are connected directly to the steering wheel with a cable, as well as the H circuit, these have very similar plugs, but one is male and one female so you can't confuse them to the computer later only a USB cable and a power supply which is connected to a socket got to
The pedals have anti-slip pads, but they magically attract dust and must be cleaned once a month so that they still hold on to laminate flooring for a carpet, but claws can also be folded out below
I thought about taking a picture of mine for a moment, but this shows it quite well:
The steering wheel is held on the table by clamps, which are screwed from the top. However, the table must not be too thick. I think the table can be a maximum of 5cm thick.
The pedals are attached to the underside of the steering wheel like the original G29 gearshift (if present) and also like the power cable and guided through the cable guide to the rear.
So in the end you need a free socket! The USB cable visible in the picture then goes from the steering wheel to the PC or the console.
You still have to switch between PC and PS4 at the top of the steering wheel! Is a little slider right behind the steering wheel.
The pedals themselves are a bit slip-resistant, but not that perfect. It might be advisable to put an anti-slip mat underneath or to have the pedals on the wall. Or maybe you put a board between the wall and the pedals.
And 2 (USB) others to the PS4 / 5.
Only one cable leads to the console.
I should very much like it and wrong comment a cable to the socket is correct anti-slip pads are also correct but these have to be cleaned regularly and there are also extendable claws for a carpet and the two USB cables lead to the playstation 5 or playstation 4 unfortunately completely wrong
As a little tip, wash the pets downstairs with a little damp once a month then keep them better was the same with the G27
But how are the clamps attached to the table? Could you send me a photo of it?
Sorry!
I've already tried it, but it doesn't help.
The ground is just too slippery for me.
It might be enough for a slow simulator like ETS2, so they rarely slip away from me. But they don't hold up so well for me for faster racing games. By the way, it doesn't matter whether I use the G27 pedals or the G29 pedals (I have both and both work on the G29 ^^).
In addition, they somehow slip away faster on me when I wear slippers xD
The steering wheel is attached to the table with two "brackets". These are "pressed" so tightly to the table that the steering wheel stays on the table by itself (see pictures)
You just put them on the floor as a postal stationery.
1 USB cable leads from the steering wheel to the PC, 1 cable from the power supply unit to the steering wheel and 1 further cable from the pedals to the steering wheel (possibly 1 further cable leads from the additionally purchased gear shift to the steering wheel)
If you have a carpet on which you can put the pedals, the pedals will be bombproof even without a wall. Since the pedals also have extendable spikes, they can hold onto the carpet perfectly. If you have parcel bottom, I would at least get myself a small, non-slip rug on which you can put the pedals. Otherwise the pedals will slip away all the time
Here you can see it at just under 2 minutes.
Simply turn the screws there and at the end you can countersink them by gently pressing. It works completely intuitively.
Yes, these slip pads are a bit bad, the biggest difference between the new and the old pedals is the stronger resistance in the brake, which I have developed because this increases the sliding even more
Fortunately, they hold on to my floor, but they attract dirt
Yes, the brake really got on my nerves.
That's why I mostly use the pedals from the G27.
If you are a little technically skilled you can open the pedals and simply remove the rubber plug that makes the brake heavier. I did that with mine because I unfortunately had no more pedal from the G27
I don't see any reason for this, as I still have the other pedals.
Okay, just as a tip that many do not know that the new brake is just a rubber plug that creates this resistance
