Gta online mors mutual costs something?

I have been playing gta online since yesterday and all of my cars that were fully insured were destroyed. I thought so, no problem, just call the insurance company, but when I made my choice, it cost me $ 8,000 to replace each car… I thought the insurance was free.

It was always completely free on the ps4. Can someone explain that to me?

It's free if the game thinks someone else destroyed it. If you were, you have to pay it.
