I have the following problem.
My original PS4 controller is defective, but I have previously reinitialized the PS4.
Now, in the first step, after initializing and rebooting the PS4, I'm asked to connect the Dualshock 4 Controller to the PS4 via USB cable and press the PS button.
Unfortunately, I currently have only a wired second controller lying around, which is not original from Sony.
I connect this via the front USB and press the PS button, but no reaction.
Do I need an original Dualshock 4 controller for this or is it somehow different?
The second controller is a @Play PS4 controller (wired) from GameStop
It works differently, you can in the PS4 USB devices for control release, previously do not work!
That You have to activate the function with the defective controller. Depending on how defective your controller is, it may make more sense to buy a new one.
OK. I somehow thought so already. I'm only surprised that the controller PS4 is verified, but then the PS button does not work in this case.
It is quite possible that he just is not recognized because USB input devices are disabled.
I have an adapter which emulates a keyboard and mouse so that I can use it as a controller, and I had to activate this as well.
Since I'm not home, I just can't say where this feature is, but I can tell you that the controller will work completely at the latest and therefore it is probably verified.
The problem is, I'm not even in the PS4 settings purely, since I only have to confirm with a Dualshock 4 or the PS button of the Dualshock 4.
Maybe you have a friend who can lend you one.
