Repair Blue Light of Death. How?

When I recently switched on my Ps4 Slim, it no longer showed an image and pulsed blue. At first I didn't think anything about it and tested the HDMI cable, but it worked. I researched on the internet and found out that this was the Blue Light of Death Error (BLOD).

This means that the Playstation does work, but does not display an image and is constantly pulsing more and less blue. Many explained that you have to rebuild the database in Safe Mode or activate the standard settings. I tried that too, but it didn't work.

Two days ago I disassembled my Playstation and tried this trick with the washer between the cover over the processor. That didn't help either. Now it can be either the hard drive or the power cord.

I still remember that the Playstation was quite slow when it was still working and hung constantly. I wanted to ask again if someone can use this information to find out what it is before I get a new hard drive and it still doesn't work.

In relation to your last section, which the playsi was slow and stagnant, can also be due to warm temperatures. Then the processor or GPU clocks itself down. But it can also be that the hard drive blesses the temporal.

That with the heat can be regulated inexpensively and easily. Simply disassemble the console again, clean it well and replace the thermal paste (Arctic MX4 is great, worked wonderfully on my Playsi ๐Ÿ˜‰) and put it back together again.

But since your console won't start at all, I almost type on hard drive. Had the same problem years ago and installed a 2TB SSHD and since then it has been running like a 1.

Power cableโ€ฆ I guess then nothing would work at all.

So I say so it still goes on, lights up blue but does not show a picture. Is the 2TB an internal hard drive? And what about when I install a new hard drive, do I have to download the Sony software from the website or does the Playstation do this automatically? And one more question: If I install a new hard drive and then log in with my account, will I still have all the games on it? Otherwise, thanks for the information so far!

Yes, exactly, I had the BLOD too.

The 2TB is an internal hard drive. Well, you can also take 1TB or 500GB, it's up to you how high your budget is, or how much storage you need. The 2TB were just an example now ๐Ÿ˜.

You have to download the software from the Sony website with a PC and then install it on the playstation. But there are great videos on Youtube.

Yes, since your Playsi has the BLOD, you probably can't make a backup, which means you have to reinstall all of your games. But if you have activated online synchronization, your scores are saved there and you can continue to play where you left off ๐Ÿ˜‰.

The whole thing is not difficult and easy to carry out.
