Book recommendation for my brother?

My older brother will soon be 18 years old and I was wondering what I could give him. He doesn't read a lot, but from my own experience I have come to the conclusion that he needs a really good book one day and that the motivation will probably come by itself.

I'm going to go to a bookstore tomorrow at noon and take a long look around, but first I wanted to ask for recommendations here.

As I said, my brother is 17. He really enjoys and often plays fighting games on the Playstation. He likes to correct others in discussions and language and is interested in living relatively healthy lives. He's a pretty withdrawn person, he doesn't speak much, but when he does, the posts are very content-rich. Musically he is absolutely not, he likes to listen to electronic music, remixes, but that's about it. He also does a little sport, badminton regularly.

If anyone can get a rough idea of my brother or knows books that almost everyone finds interesting: I'm happy about every little answer.

Thanks for taking the time, the text should actually be a little shorter.

The Kangaroo Chronicle by Marc Uwe Kling is really funny, not so thick as to put off and can be read well in small pieces.

Maybe something classic and understandable like Sherlock Holmes? Or short story collections, something from Shakespeare? Where the actions are not very boring?

It's a shame that he already knows all of the CDs. Thank you anyway. Do you happen to know any other books by him, are they recommended? (I don't know how many books he wrote, but there was another one)

That sounds good, thanks for the tip. Do you have a certain book by Shakespeare in mind, or was that just an idea?

I don't think Quality Land by Mark Uwe is that great, but there's something similar by Mark Uwe's stage colleague Julius Fischer "I hate people. A digression"
