Nice evening together.
I have a problem there. My brother has a Nintendo Switch, which he got as a birthday present 1-2 years ago. When he installed or set up the device, he had our older brother at the time, who just left because of an F… Abroad. At first he said that he would go to his girlfriend for 2 weeks and then come back, but it seemed cloudy. He stayed there and has not been heard from him for a good 1 year, among other things he just blocked me on WhatApp or doesn't even contact me at all, although we never had a problem together, but that's not that Problem of the question but, my brother has an age restriction in his Nintendo Switch, where he now wants to remove, but the problem is that he does not know the password at all. As already mentioned, my older brother left abroad and hadn't reported to us for a good year, let alone being seen, among other things I can't reach him at all, and even if he didn't answer me, that's why I can't even ask him for the password, where he saved it or entered it there.

Now to the question, how can I or We circumvent or otherwise remove the age limit of the Nintendo Switch? - Sure, you could send the device in, but that costs a lot of money, for which we could also buy a new device, and before we take this into consideration, I wanted to ask briefly whether this could be done otherwise. I also tried completely resetting it, but I can't do it without this password. Does anyone have an alternative? My brother would be very happy about it.

I thank you in advance and look forward to your answers.

Well, nintendo has probably installed a kind of lock, so you can probably only invest the money in the great piece.

Can't you just send a cover letter to Nintendo? And ask if they could do something about it?

Gr

Think that they can also solve the problem. Do you still have the proof of purchase? They will surely want to see it, otherwise everyone can break a renegade brother as a reason for an account take over.

Bi

Unfortunately, that was 1-2 years ago, who has put a proof of purchase for so long or on the side. I wrote them once and described the situation, also specified the serial number and the rest where I knew or could see, now wait and see.

Gr

They will check first whether you "bought" or "found" it.

I generally keep the receipt for all "purchases"

I also asked how approx. It can be expensive if you send it in, if it is not as expensive as the device itself, you can send it in one way or another, which is why. Guarantee would have already expired with the device either way, because you would no longer need a proof of purchase if you send it in. And even if there was still a guarantee, you would have to pay either way, have enough experience with it. I have already sent in some devices that still had a guarantee and still had to pay for the repair, so the guarantee today is zero, so nothing worth it. I know more tomorrow.

Bi

For feedback. I wrote them as already mentioned and could now help myself without having to see a proof of purchase. The age restriction would now be gone.

Great
