So I have two siblings (9 and 10 years old) and I'm the oldest of them all. My parents are mostly away from home, which is why I have to take care of my siblings. But unfortunately they never listen to me, they are always on the phone and at the playstation and ignore me when I tell them to do their homework or to clean up their room. I just can't prevail, no matter if I approach the whole nice or strict, it will not work. They are also quite disrespectful and when I yell at them, it screams back (actually normal with siblings). My question is now, how can I prevail? I also talked to my mother about not listening to me, she told my siblings to listen to me, but nothing has changed.
It is your parents' job to set the rules and enforce them.
If you want them to do their homework instead of cell phones and PlayStations, then you have to collect the cell phones and take the consoles with them.
You do not have to!
Your parents are responsible for the education of you and your siblings.
You are still a child yourself and can't expect others to listen to you.
Besides, no one can expect you to be able to raise children. This is not your job.
