Will the data rate be impaired by 2 Lan from the socket of the same make and type?

1.) Hello, I currently have a Fritz Powerline 510E in my room on the 1st floor which is connected to my laptop. I also have a LAN in my room from the socket of a different color which is connected to my Ps4.

The router to which both LAN adapters are connected is on the ground floor.

I now have to change the Lan adapter that is connected to the Ps4 to the Fritz Powerline 510E, so that I have 2 pieces in my room.

My question: Is it even possible to use 2 pieces of the same make? Does this worsen the data rate?

2.) In another room about 5m from my room also on the 1st floor I have set up a Fritz Wlan Repeater 310.

To my question:

Can I also set up this Fritz Wlan Repeater 310 in the other room (5m away) or is there a kind of interference signal generated when there are too many Wlan amplifiers which worsens the data rate?

I beg your pardon? You have 2 different powerline adapters in the router room and 2 other powerline adapters in your room.

Your mistake is that you operate 2 powerline systems at the same time (in parallel), the two powerline systems are guaranteed to interfere with each other, especially if they are even operated in the same room.

You should only use 1 powerline adapter on the router and use the counterpart (same manufacturer) in your room. If you need several LAN connections in your room, you can use a LAN switch (5 port LAN switch is available for around 15 euro).

WLAN repeater?

WLAN and Powerline do not interfere with each other, so you can do it. But please do not use a Wi-Fi repeater if you can already receive the router's Wi-Fi directly. A WLAN repeater is never used to speed up the Internet, which is a misconception. WLAN repeaters are only useful for supplying unsupervised areas of an apartment, otherwise WLAN repeaters are pointless, they interfere more than they use.

My recommendation:

Operate only 1 pair of Powerline adapters from the same manufacturer and connect a WLAN router to this as a second router (as an IP client). Finished!
Then you have 4 full-fledged LAN ports in your room (for PS4+ laptop + …) and the WLAN router is also a WLAN access point for the entire 2nd floor. Because a WLAN access point is always twice as fast as a single band WLAN repeater (310 is a single band!).

A good Wi-Fi router as an access point for these purposes is the FritzBox 4040 (2.4 + 5 GHz, has no modem, therefore cheap, is Wi-Fi mesh capable):

This is how it is set up as an IP client (= access point):

Several different manufacturers are very bad! It's amazing that it works at all… Even several powerlines are bad, it's better to buy a LAN switch than another powerline!

Thank you for your comprehensive answer. Before that I had a download of 3 Mbits on my Ps4 via Lan, now I'm at +30 Mbits.
