PS4 controller not charging? - 2

I have ordered a new Ps4 controller so that I can play on the pc. The controller only charges on the PC or on the Playstation. I then let the controller charge for about 2 or 3 hours. And yet it says that the controller is no longer charged. In addition, the controller briefly flashes red when I remove it from the cable. Sending back will be my last option because I've waited so long for the controller and first see if there aren't any tricks or tips.

The controller is charging, you wrote yourself. So you have no problem with charging but with the connection to the end devices?

Have you already connected the controller to the Playstation correctly? The first time it is loaded, it can always take a little longer

Maybe that could also be. But do you maybe know how to fix that?

Switch on the Playstation and let it boot up completely, connect the controller with the USB cable, ideally the original, and press the PS button. If this does not work, reset the controller and try again.

Reset: on the underside of the L2 button and the screw there's a small hole, there with a paper clip, needle etc. For at least 7 seconds. Press, you notice a clear pressure point

I just tried that, but the ps4 keeps telling me that the controller has no battery even though I charged it all day today

Then the battery is probably defective
