In my opinion DayZ is a great game, because I really like zombie apocalypse games. I wanted to get it many years ago, but I still wanted to ask if it was worth getting DayZ. What are things that are fun in the game and things that can take away from the fun? By the way, I'm talking about the Playstation 4 version here.
Do not do it. The game is extremely bugged / low fps / too expensive / and hardly worked on it for years.
If you want to play the real, good zombie game that it used to be, don't buy the latest version…
For this you need Arma2+ Arma2 OA + the DayZ Mod. Only then will you experience the real DayZ as it once was…
Then the DayZ Epoch Mod and everything is perfect… You can live in it…
And you paid for the development of these cool mods afterwards… As well as me.
But that's not available on the PS4, you need a PC…
I started on the PC years ago when it was still an ArmaMod. Then I took a long hiatus and downloaded it to the PS4 a few months ago.
The game is evolving. There are regular updates. Only freaks who spend too much time in front of the screen can nag here.
Let's get to the real points.
It's an extreme time waster. If you want to go from north to south, you run. Runs very, very long.
Dead is dead. No saving, no new life. This can be frustrating - especially for beginners.
It takes a little to get into it. At first you starve to death, get killed by zombies or fellow players… Or just get a totally annoying cold.
There's no real goal of the game. Apart from survival, of course. Some people get bored.
On the other hand, it offers goosebumps, excitement, hours of fun, a pleasantly apocalyptic atmosphere and over the weeks you will always learn new tricks and tricks that will ensure your survival.
I sometimes don't understand how some people download some mindless shooting game for a lot more money. I think DayZ is a better investment.
The long run, etc. I think it's actually pretty good. Well, thanks for taking the time. I will definitely buy the game.
