Hdmi to Vga adapter with ps4?

I ordered an Hdmi to Vga adapter

in the description, however, it is not compatible with the Ps4 because it controls too high a resolution on the HDMI port

However, in YouTube videos it is said that the quality should be set to Automatic or Down. My question is, does this work with the adapter or not?

The normal PS4 supports a maximum of 1080p in games and VGA can handle it, it says that the adapter supports 1080p so I don't know why it should not be compatible.

Can only be that you have to deactivate the copy protection HDCP.
