To be able to play Minecraft online or with friends, you need Playstation Plus. That costs 60 euro a year or you pay 10 euro for a month.

You or your friend (or both of you) don't have a Playstation Plus, so you can't play it together.

But I have a tip on how you can play together without having a Playstation Plus. There's a Share Play function where you can both play together on your Playstation split screen.

1. Go to the menu

2. Go to the party

3. Go to Share Play

4. Take Minecraft to Share Play and then send your friend the invitation for the Share Play session.
