Witcher 3 boring?

I'm not writing this to provoke any fanboys, but am I the only one who finds the Witcher 3 extremely boring? I've now put around 40 hours into the game and just had to break it off because I was so bored… First the time when you should look for Ciri in novigrad at the beginning, I really thought I was dying of boredom… Running from door to door for hours in turn to help someone find someone and then to help him find someone, seriously? What I found cool were the monsters and the graphics / locations but that's about it. I also find Gerald as a character extremely boring I know that he has no emotions but why do you make such a character? You can somehow connect with him zero, just extremely unsympathetic the guy. In my opinion, scattering can be completely forgotten, at least on the ps4. The fights felt extremely chunky… Am I the only one?

The only boring, sometimes very long and frequent conversations. If you play for about 3 hours at a time, at some point you don't feel like talking anymore.

Interesting. For me, it's the conversations and the stories that go with them that I love about the game. The rest of the gameplay, on the other hand, was just boring from my point of view. I wouldn't call it bad, but it was just so good that it didn't bother me too much.

That comes from 8 years of first-person shooter.

Both went together. But sometimes the conversations were just really long. If I want to see something like that, I could watch a movie, after all, I want to do something too. That's why at some point I turned on the subtitle and just read everything quickly.

I absolutely can't understand, I find the story as exciting as a good film in which you act or be the main actor. Or maybe you're just not a single RPG type. It is well known that tastes are different. The game received 800 awards for a reason:-)

However, I have to admit that some dialogues and sections of the story (and make less relevant stories) could have been a little shorter. You also have to be really in the story before you are really "tied up". Actually it only really starts with Triss.

I also canceled W3 after 10 hours of play.

The story is well done, but I don't like the pure gameplay either.

From today's perspective, I don't find the combat system particularly exciting, but because it was one of my first games I didn't think it was bad back then. I find Geralt very likeable, which is of course subjective, but even if you don't notice it at first, Geralt certainly has feelings. If you have the complete edition, I can recommend you only play Blood and Wine, the second DLC, which I found even better than the main game

Yes, I agree. Have gambled the whole thing through 4 times and still find it captivating even though you know the process. But it is also true that something like this is not for everyone / woman.
