Why does the headset not work?

I have a problem and my headset does not work on my PC. The sound goes. I can listen to music and watch videos but the microphone does not work. I've tried everything but nothing works. My pc is also bought new and not used. At first I thought it was the headset, since the PC is completely new, so I bought a new one and it still doesn't work. The microphone on my Ps4 only does not work on the PC. Could someone tell me why? My microphone has a normal aux plug that I connect to the PC.

It could be that you haven't plugged in your headset cable, but I don't think so. Which program are you using? Maybe Discord?

Ke

Your PC may have two connections on the front panel. You may have to plug the microphone and headphone connection separately into the front panel using an adapter (often included).

If you have built the PC yourself then check the main board cable.

Is this the case with both connections?

So front and back?

Then check drivers again.

Windows updates too.

Sometimes it's just a tiny software bug.

And did you also use the red microphone input?

In the best case, you have simply plugged the Mirko into the wrong port.

But I always had my problems with aux microphones. They just didn't want to be installed properly or didn't run sometimes and the next time again. It was always a lot of effort until I had it running at some point.

Since I have a headset that is connected via USB, everything was immediately recognized and worked without having to do anything (except adjust the volume).

Bo

Aux is the normal jack plug… How come you have such problems with it? I never had problems with a microphone or jack in or out.

Ma

I have no idea why it always didn't work for me. Maybe I had a headset that was too unknown or whatever.

If I had had a clue why that always didn't work for me with different headsets, I wouldn't have had to get one with USB.

Bo

Oh dear oh dear technology that inspires. But I also have a real USB micro. Already runs cleaner (a nvidia deinstalation had once scrapped the onboard sound no idea how to do it) xD

It would be helpful if you could tell us which headset it is. The most important thing is what the connector (s) you connected to the PC look like.
