Which headset would you recommend at the moment? HyperX, Beyerdynamic, etc?

I'm again looking for a new headset, because my "Creative SoundBlasterX H7" slowly but surely goes to his knees.

Now I'm tempted to get me a pure stereo headset, as it is often claimed that a stereo headset is significantly better than a virtual 7.1. Nevertheless, HyperX currently also has "good" headsets, as it seems, such as Cloud Flight and HyperX Cloud Alpha S.

And yes I know, actually I said yes no 7.1, but still the Cloud Alpha did not look bad xD Especially because you can turn off the 7.1 as I have hopefully heard correctly.

Back then and today, I think that I also recommended headsets from Beyerdynamic, if I'm not mistaken. It was also the talk of "studio quality". But I'm not quite familiar yet.

For a headset, the microphone is not that important to me, as I currently use a stand microphone anyway. For me, only the sound quality is much more important. I want to be able to hear every foot step in the game, to be able to hear my friends in the voice chat loud and clear and to feel music and videos as pleasant. Of course, the workmanship and wearing comfort must not be neglected either. From the price if possible only under 300 euro. Basically, I prefer cable headsets. For wireless headset, it is important to me that you can use it at the same time with cable, because a spontaneous expose by low battery stand, I would love to avoid. Headset should be used mainly for PC, but optional I would not mind if it would also work optimally on the PS4.

And I know, of course, the perception of "good" sound is different for everyone. But in this case, I fully rely on your opinion.

So… What have you had the best experience so far and which headset would you recommend to me today? What do you think of the above mentioned headsets? Just suggest something to me, I'm all ears!

Astro A50

costs about 260 euro, and has been in my possession for over a year. I bought it because there were so many gaming youtubers in the sky. And since my previous headsets were always broken quickly, I thought that I take a bit more money in the hand.

The headset can be connected to the PC and at the same time to the PS4, very pleasant. Likewise, the sound is really really good. Also the microphone quality.

It is a wireless headset (7.1 surround sound) with a Doking station (for charging), but this is complete dirt. However, the headset is cable-connectable and therefore you do not need the Doking station to charge and use it.

Can you recommend the headset only

Ke

Detailed and insightful, thank you!
I'll take a look at the beautiful part.

The HyperX Cloud 2 I can recommend, solid, little plastic.
The sound is great, too, as far as I know, even drivers from BeyerDynamics installed, whether that is the case with the new versions, I do not know.

Ke

Uh that with the driver I would not have thought. Interesting.

Ke

Actually more than just a great answer, very informative rich, thank you first for that!

I'll see if I'll even find something in the store soon to listen to, otherwise I'll have to order one or two and then try it out for the time being. The Shure1840 is indeed much more expensive, so I can unfortunately forget. From Beyer and the others I would not know which would suit me exactly. DT770 Pro, however, seems promising in many aspects. I'll take a closer look.
