Can my monitor display 144 fps?

I bought a monitor before the release of the Ps5 (BenQ ZOWIE XL2411P 24 inch 144Hz gaming monitor)
The monitor has 144hz and a 2.0 HDMI connection. However, I have now learned that the Ps5 comes with a 2.1 HDMI cable. Now comes my real question: Can my monitor still display 144 fps if I have this in a game? I currently have a Ps4, which only manages 60 fps, and the biggest reason to buy a Ps5 would be that I can then use my monitor with 144hz completely. (Yes, the Ps5 manages + 120 fps in some games)

If your monitor can 144 fps and the PS5 can 144 fps, and it supports the games, you can play at 144 fps (only with HDMI 2.0 or 2.1)

The PS5 can only output 4K at 120Hz with HDMI 2.1. So you can display 4K 60HZ or 1080p 120Hz with the PS5 with your HDMI 2.0.

Most games will give you the choice between 4K60 and 1080p120 anyway, but that may change in the future or more games come out with the 4K120.
