This is a question for all Ark: Survival Evolved experts, I currently have a PS4 Slim with Ark can play with someone in couch mode and in this case it is also practically possible, but because of the removal that you have to keep to the player, I think it is pretty stupid and not fun.
So the question now is if I rent an Ark server for me and my buddy through a provider, would it be possible for me to come to the server with my PS4 and he and his PC on Steam?
If not, are there ways to enable this?
Unfortunately there's no crossplay. For example, if you rented a Ps4 server, only Ps4 players would be able to join, and the other way around, the problem with the distance happens, you should play locally or not dedicated.
Okay, thank you for the quick answer.
Subject: Distance to the player
But I didn't understand what Dedicated Server actually means, what I know it is servers for which you need a powerful device where you can only have the server open and no Ark as a game.
What about the rented servers from which I think I have 3th providers?
You don't necessarily need to be too dedicated, as it has the ShowMyAdminManager command, which originally does the same. Rented servers are also not crossplay, i.e. Ps4+ Ps4, but this distance does not exist with rented servers, i.e. All players can move as they want.
