I switched to an SSD on my PlayStation 4.
I would like to use the old HDD from the PS4 for other purposes (not for the PlayStation).
So I connected it externally to my PC, but it is not recognized. Not even in disk management.
Does anyone know how I can format them as normal for Windows?

You should be able to find it via cmd or you have to formulate it first via linux and then via windows you can also see if the hp formatter recognizes the hard drive, I actually use it to completely erase memory, e.g. Sd cards 16 GB but have multiple formats it only had 4 GB with this program I was able to format it and get back the full 16 GB so if it recognizes it it will be completely repaired immediately
Did you even read my question? I clearly wrote that it is also not recognized in Disk Management.

Thank-you. I was able to solve the "problem" myself: I installed the hard disk internally in my PC. This is how it was recognized by the disk management and I can now format it.
