My new PlayStation 5 Digital Edition loses the connection to the Wi-Fi after about 60 minutes while gaming, then for "network reasons" I get kicked out of the game and the party chat. Only when I restarted the PlayStation does it work again. However, the problem does not exist if a LAN cable is not connected. In advance: I have already reset it and restarted the Wi-Fi router, unfortunately nothing. It shouldn't be due to poor Wi-Fi either (download 30 Mbit / s; upload: 8 Mbit / s)
What can I do about it to "fix" the problem?
I'm happy about any kind of help
Just put Lan in and you'll never have problems again
Unfortunately it doesn't work for me, only had to test my Playstation downstairs to test there, but I can hardly lay a 5-long LAN cable from the bottom to the top (and I don't have a LAN socket in my room)
There's nothing you can do about it, except possibly to buy a better wireless router. But that's not the ideal solution as you are still using Wi-Fi. A LAN cable would be best. Don't you have any empty conduits in the walls at home where you could run one up? Well worth the effort. Alternatively, you can use the so-called PowerLAN / dLAN, this technology uses the power lines for data transmission. Data transmission also depends in part on the age and quality of the power lines. PowerLAN is inconsistent, but worlds better than WLAN. The best and cheaper way would be to use a simple LAN cable.
Thanks for the help, I'll think about it
A 30 Mbit / s line is no longer the newest in 2021. So if you play in multiplayer in a session with many players, one of the reasons for that is that your line is too weak at some point. You must never forget it, sometimes it fluctuates.
I would recommend you get [at least!] A 100 Mbit / s line and then see what happens.
But with all other devices I don't have any internet problems
Playing online also requires a certain basic requirement in terms of Mbit / s.
Let me put it this way - if you play online alone with 2 or 3 friends, your 30 Mbit / s line should be stable enough.
But if you now always know what I, let's say 25 people gamble online, just so that there can be a stable connection between all these people and you, you need a good 60 - 75 Mbit / s for the most necessary.
But then there's everything that happens online, all the actions and so on that needs enough speed.
