Persistent problems with the new Vodafone router?

I had an old Unitymedia router that didn't cause any problems and worked well, albeit a little slower. However, it broke whereupon I had the latest Fritzbox which was terrible, almost no Mb / s went through and NAT type problems without end…

Then I have now got a new router from Vodafone and that is the latest model (the black box), the internet speed is inherent (approx. 30-50 Mb / s on PS4, with LAN significantly more) but my PC loses every 5 minutes the signal which makes it impossible to do anything and the following error always occurs on the PS4:

"ps4 can't perform voice chat due to network connection failure" so in parties people are also gone every few minutes and back again every few minutes, plus an error which causes applications to be suspended after 15 minutes because the licenses could not be verified (only the error comes approx. Every 30-60 minutes otherwise nothing happens), I heard that the router is due to an unstable connection but how do I fix it? Or what other cause could this have (LAN cable is not possible, I would have to lay it through the whole house, 30m +)? Asking for help is really annoying

We got the router too, but I haven't swapped it yet. But there's the phone number for technical support on one piece of paper. Call me, maybe something is misplaced and you can set it right again?

We also got the new Vodafone router and actually no problems. My parents, on the other hand, who live one place further away, have enormous problems and, like you, constantly lose the signal. Especially with Wi-Fi.

After a call to Vodafone that seems to be due to outdated lines. Allegedly, there would be no direct solution. Until the technician was there to take a look at the problem, the mobile phone contract, which also runs via Vodafone, was activated for unlimited data volume in order to be able to give all devices at home a hotspot.

I would personally contact Vodafone and explain the problem. Maybe it is very easy and quick to solve for you. Remote diagnosis from the community will probably not help you.

I can only agree with that, mostly because the wiring in the house is too old. New cables just have to be laid!
