A while ago a friend of mine recommended this repeater to me, I keep having problems with the Wi-Fi signal in my room

Since the problems worsen or occur more frequently, I'm considering buying a repeater. Now I have seen that there's a newer model and I'm not sure which one to get now
https://www.amazon.de/...07VV3YK31/
To be honest, I have no idea about repeaters and therefore do not know which is better or which model is more worthwhile for me
The problems I encounter are the following:
Longer loading of pages and error messages in Chrome
Jerky videos
Connection problems with my consoles including my switch and PS4
Unstable connection to the printer
I have never had any problems with the internet with my smartphone because my cell phone is a Samsung Galaxy S9
With my PS4, some downloads or updates take several hours. If I e.g. Mario Maker 2 in my room, it sometimes takes an eternity to show me the levels. Sometimes I even get error messages that the loading time has exceeded or other error messages
What do you think which repeater is better or which of the two is more worthwhile for me?
Repeaters amplify the signal, but this is at the expense of speed. So your connection is likely to be slower than faster.
Better of which 2 is the 600.
But if you are willing to pay a little more, would recommend the Fritz Repeater 1750e or the 2400. They can also 5ghz and have a lan connection (very good for the ps4, as this is always a bit slow over Wi-Fi).
Repeaters are rather semi-suitable - I would rather recommend DLAN / Powerline.
Their latency is not as different as with WLAN and you can put the second adapter wherever you like (in the best case).
DLAN works as follows;
Adapter comes to the router at a wall socket
Adapter comes to a wall socket in your room (avoid multiple plugs)
With the right adapters, you then have a direct connection in your room via Ethernet to the computer and Wi-Fi in your room for other devices.
The problem with repeaters is that the signal is only forwarded as strongly as it was received. Means the signal is already weakened anyway.
Repeaters are also only half duplex. Means they can only send or read. Means that you already have a 50% loss in bandwidth (on top of that comes the already weakened signal).
For information, DLAN is also half-duplex - however, it has significantly fewer losses and is much more stable.
I would rather recommend you to put a router in your room and connect it with a LAN cable httpshttps://www.mediamarkt.de/de/product/_asus-rt-ac53-ac750-dual-band-802-11ac-wlan-router-2285918.html?rbtc=now%7Coow%7Cappshare%7C%7Cp%7Cappshare%7C e.g. I would have it myself and is quite okay for the price. And almost the entire speed of your home network is preserved
Well D-Lan is not so good because the longer the cable line is, the slower the transmitted speed and with sockets with overvoltage protection (I think) the speed slows down a bit
You usually don't have sockets with surge protection - these usually have the devices themselves or multiple plugs.
Yes, that's right with the cable line. However, the factor is not very relevant in an average house.
Ultimately, however, DLAN does not scatter and has a concentrated transmission that a repeater does not have.
If you mean the Devolo system, you can immediately forget this idea. We tested it for a while and then switched to Wi-Fi and were much more satisfied with the Wi-Fi than with this Devolo system
It always spun with us and we had never had a stable connection. I mostly use my laptop in bed so that's another reason why a cable isn't worth it or why it's impractical
I also move my laptop every now and then, which would not be ideal for a LAN or Dlan connection
There are reasons why our friend recommended a repeater!
Devolo is also the cheapest of the cheapest.
As I said, AVM or DLink offer good DLAN adapters that have no problems and send a WLAN signal on the second adapter. Then the laptop in bed is no problem either.
It won't work better with a repeater than with the Devolo - a real network costs more than 20 euro - 40 euro.

I would recommend it.
Ultimately, it is also important to have the correct positions and circuit, so that you may not need a phase coupler.
Then DLAN will not work either.
This is again too expensive for me. My only concern is to have a stable internet connection and to be able to watch something on my laptop without a problem, without the video jerking almost every second and then taking an eternity to continue
A LAN connection is not a good idea for me, since I not only use the laptop in my room, but also other devices such as my cell phone that rely on Wi-Fi signal
Why? In the worst case, make a long LAN connection and set an access point that uses WLAN.
Why are you distracting from the topic of the question?
I wanted to know which of the two is better or which is better for me. I have my reasons why I choose a repeater. In addition, you can't know how long I or my family have had this problem and what we have already tried
Then why do you want to change my mind about devil come out and persuade me to do something that actually has nothing to do with the content of my question?
Because you have the goal of having a better connection?
You are welcome to use repeaters - I can only tell you from professional experience that it will lead to further problems.
I just wanted to help you and suggest alternatives, not determine you.
Only the router is connected with a LAN cable, the router sends a WLAN signal to your devices
